Crystals and Meditation with Psychic Medium & Author Janet O'Carroll
Daily stresses can unbalance mind, body and spirit in the strongest of people, one way to keep yourself perfectly balanced is to meditate daily, crystals can enhance the experience by promoting a deeper sense of well being and calm enabling one to live a harmonious and enlighted life. Below is an example of a meditation with the crystal Sodalite.
Choose a quiet area where you will not be disturbed, sitting comfortably with calming background music of your choice, hold a piece of Sodalite in your left hand, close your eyes and take 3 deep breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth then return your breathing back to its normal pace, visualise a beautiful calming flow of energies emanating from your crystal and climbing upwards from your hand, past your wrist, forearm, upper arm, shoulder and down into your heart centre, as the energies expand visualise the beautiful vibrant blue tones of your Sodalite rotating clockwise at a medium pace, then take yourself to your most relaxing place in your minds eye, absorbing the vivid colours and harmonies surroundings whilst feeling the earths energies beneath your feet, grounding and strengthening your foundations, let your imagination take over and enjoy your relaxing and enlightening personal space.
Meditation time varies from person to person, 30 to 60 minutes is preferable, follow your own thoughts and needs on timing and frequency.
when you are ready to emerge from your personal quiet time, take a deep breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth visualising roots growing out of your feet into the earths energy, grounding and anchoring you in the present moment, and when you are ready open your eyes.
Benefits, a feeling of calm, harmony, clear thinking, ability to communicate clearly with one's self and others, restful sleep, alleviation of stress and anxiety, a sense of understanding (problem solving)
notes: choose an A grade crystal for maximum effect, always cleanse your crystal before and after use (cleansing techniques, moonlight, smudging with white sage, hold under flowing water, singing bowl are a few you may like to try). Always make sure that you are warm, comfortable and in a location where you won't be disturbed. Within your meditation you can take yourself to a relaxing place that you love or recognise or let your imagination take charge. Should you feel a little light headed after meditating, more grounding is needed, this can be achieved by drinking a glass of water and/or eating a piece of fruit
